It’s March and we know that 3rd grade is going to bring the heat, Tournament Teams   + Fish Bowl   style!

As a review of previously taught skills, we incorporated a series of questions using tournament teams and a surprise fish bowl discussion with one of our questions. The inner circle represented our fish who discussed and collectively answered the question together, while the outer circle simply listened and later reported things that they saw and heard within the fish bowl. All 4 classes’ outer circle reported that they heard students respectfully responding to one another, while highlighting evidence and justifying their answer, which goes perfectly with our paired response prompts that we have been working on!
